A lot of discussion was made over the last two days about how 70,000 fans would be pulling for Michigan State last night. After the game was over and UNC had tarred and feathered the Spartans, Bobby Knight was asked why the attendance didnt affect UNC's play.

"Look, when youre a great team the fans dont matter. Michigan State could have had 262,000 fans in attendance and North Carolina would have still beat them by 20 or 30 points..who cares."
